Nous pouvons toujours compter sur Jésus
Jésus désire nous enseigner comment réagir dans les tempêtes imprévisibles de la vie. Il désire nous amener à le voir, à Le reconnaître dans les ténèbres épaisses de la nuit.
Mathieu 14. ''29 Et il dit : Viens ! Pierre sortit de la barque, et marcha sur les eaux, pour aller vers Jésus.''
Il désire plus que tout qu’on reconnaisse Sa voix dans les situations les plus angoissantes et terrifiantes de notre vie.
Comment pouvons-nous appliquer cet événement dans notre vie de tous les jours?
Nous pouvons aussi remarquer dans ce passage de la Parole de Dieu, qu’ils ont entendu une voix qui les rassure: ‘’Prenez courage, c’est moi n’ayez pas peur. ‘’
Jésus, en marchant sur ce qui me fait le plus peur, me fait entendre Sa voix rassurante. Sur le même élément qui m’apporte mes angoisses et qui risque m’engloutir, Il désire que ma foi soit fortifiée par Sa parole qui m’invite à me rassurer.
Pierre a foi en Jésus parce qu’il a vu le miracle des pains et des poissons qui a nourri toute la foule. Il dit à Jésus : si c’est bien toi demande- moi d’aller vers toi en marchant sur l’eau. À l’exemple de Pierre, nous aussi on peut demander à Jésus d’aller vers Lui en réponse à Sa parole rassurante.
Pierre désire devenir comme Jésus en marchant sur l’eau. Il demande de marcher sur ce qui lui fait peur, sur ce qui l’angoisse, ce qui menace sa vie. Pour Jésus c’est possible, mais pour un de ses disciples est-ce possible?
Si nous vivons des peurs et des angoisses identifions-nous à Pierre et demandons à Jésus de nous faire marcher sur nos eaux troubles. Nous aimons peut-être dire à Jésus de calmer nos tempêtes, mais avons-nous la foi pour demander à Jésus de marcher sur nos eaux troubles en plein milieu de la tempête? Pierre demande à Jésus de lui donner l’ordre de le faire, pas de le faire à sa place : ‘’Ordonne que j’aille vers toi sur les eaux. Et il dit : Viens !’’
Quitte ta barque, ton peu de sécurité et marche sur l’eau vers moi. Pierre accomplit l’impossible en répondant par la foi à la parole de Jésus. C’est par sa foi qu’il accomplit l’impossible.
Est-ce que je peux marcher sur mes impossibilités? La réponse est oui mes amis(es).
Après quelques pas, il réalise ce qui se passe. Il a peur et il commence à s’enfoncer. La peur est le contraire de la foi, de la confiance; nous le savons, elle nous apporte à couler, à nous enfoncer toujours plus profondément. Mais nous pouvons compter sur Jésus, Lui qui nous suit dans notre vie, dans nos tempêtes, dans nos vents contraires, dans nos peurs et nos angoisses.
Jésus nous démontre que rien ne peut l’engloutir. Ça, c’est notre Jésus et c’est rassurant d’entendre Sa voix. Il est toujours là, prêt à intervenir pour nous sauver. Sa main est prête à se tendre vers nous, Il est là pour nous sortir de toutes situations impossibles.
Personne n’est maître des vents et des eaux comme Lui. Rien n’empêche le Seigneur d’intervenir en notre faveur si ce n’est l’attitude de notre cœur. Mettons toute notre confiance en lui.
